Ravenel

Ravenel is a small town located about 20miles outside of Charleston proper in Charleston County.  The town has a rural feel but isn’t a long drive to get to shopping and other amenities. Ravenel is located along the marshland of the ACE basin which allows for beautiful views and activities such as boating, fishing and scenic nature walks. The numerous parks and trails make it easy to explore the local environment and get connected with nature. A highlight is the close by Edisto Beach State Park as well as the popular Grove EquestrianCenter. The town itself is made up of roughly 2,550 people per the last census.

While Ravenel has remained relatively small there is growth in the area as well. A new 350 unit housing develop is in the works. This development will include both housing, commercial space as well as nature trails and green space. The median home price is $468,200. Real estate ranges from high end neighborhoods such as Homecoming, Poplar Grove, and Jacobs Point to more affordable Ravenel Acres.
